I HEART PISGAH VIDEO CONTEST
WE'RE GIVING AWAY OVER $1,500 IN PRIZES FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES!
Share a video expressing what it is you love about the Pisgah and Nantahala Forest, and you're eligible to win prizes from our I HEART PISGAH partners. The video that has the most shares on Facebook by the end of the contests will win a grand prize valued at over $1,500. By posting a video and tagging us, you are automatically entered in our sweepstakes with many prizes. Your videos will help show the Forest Service how much we love our national forest and want to see it protected.
Why are we putting on this contest? Our beloved Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests need your voice right now! The Forest Service is finalizing a forest management plan that quadruples lands available for logging, loosens protection for springs and water resources, fails to protect thousands of acres of old-growth forests, and offers little increase in protected lands. This plan will guide the next three decades of forest management, and our community loses big if we do not come together before it is too late.
STEP 1
POST A Video
Make a short video, between 10-60 seconds, describing why you love the Pisgah-Nantahala National Forest and why it is worth protecting. Encourage others to create and share their own videos supporting these forests. You can post to both Facebook and Instagram. NOTE: Posting to both Instagram and Facebook enters you TWICE in the sweepstakes.
STEP 2
USe the hashtags
These hashtags are necessary to enter the contest and sweepstakes! #protectpisgah #protectnantahala
By using these hashtags, you grant permission for I HEART PISGAH to use and share your photo to help protect Pisgah National Forest.
STEP 3
Tag the Nc Forest Service
If you share your video on Facebook tag the NC Forest Service: @nfsnc. Don’t worry about this tag when posting on Instagram, the NC Forest Service doesn’t have an IG account.
